I've always been fascinated by tiny spaces because they force you to design more creatively. Designing a small space is a puzzle and with all the right pieces it can have many living areas within one room. I've always loved creative storage solutions because every square inch is utilized (secret storage is the best!) and it blends seamlessly with the decor. And I love lofts too, they have a treehouse feel to them! I was inspired to compile this post by an amazing video of a 271 square foot flat in NY. What the tenant has done to make it versatile for sleep, play, and work is quite amazing. Check it out below:
Wow, so inspiring! I feel like those people have a better handle over clutter in their tiny spaces than I do in my two-story suburban home. I love those last photos of the white space with bright color pops. So pretty!
Kelly, I feel the same exact way. I have so much CRAP, I think I'm a hoarder? I can't fathom how these places look so uncluttered! Thank you for your thoughts :)
So inspiring! I am always thinking I need more room when really, I just need to be smarter with the space I have. The place with all the plants is just utterly fabulous xxx
I agree! It's hard for me to get creative in my rental, but I'm moving to Los Angeles so I'll get to start fresh in a new place! So excited to share that journey on my blog :)
I want to dump by big house and move into a couple of those places! At least vacation there for a while.... Love the stair drawers, the beds that are hidden and can be opened up and all the spaces that seem to look larger than they really are!!
Thanks for the comment! I agree completely, the hidden storage is my favorite! I need to get more creative with my space rather than complaining its too small! It's hard to put money into customizations when living in a rental so my creativity may have to wait until I own a place.
